Matt and Gracie will never be able to say "Your Momma don't dance and your Daddy don't rock and roll". For those of us who went to Vinland Kansas 7-27-02 for the Celebration of Life 2002 festival,it was incredible. How can you describe an event where everything is so well managed. The food is fantastic-----no bbq in KS was better. The volunteers did a fantastic job. Gloria and Jerry were everywhere helping everyone. No detail was too small (Thanks Gloria for the big guys chair..ha ha). But mostly this event is about people hanging out and being with friends and new friends and the music...and somehow the problems of 2002 aren't so big. It was great to see so many NE folks showing up...Class of 69 had a presence indeed. Who says you can't rock and roll and be 51 at the same time? WE LOVE YOU GLORIA,JERRY,GRACIE, and MATT...we are all proud to be in the FOG (Friends of Gloria,Jerry,Gracie and Matt). and a final word....If I could do it gracefully I would have been on the ground in front of the stage saying to Alonzo "We are not worthy"....all of the bands were fantastic (special mention also for the song "White Rabbit" done by Uncle Dirty Toes ( I love their song Beautiful Year at their website) Rock on!!! They are appearing at Kaspar's in
